The worlds fastest Indian by Roger Donaldson is a film about an old man from Invercargill New Zealand who’s dream comes true in going to speed week in bonivill to see how fast his Indian motorcycle goes. This film is also about his trip across the world and how different America culture is to New Zealand. Burt Munro the main character who makes his motorcycle, racers it and finds America a lot different to New Zealand. Burt went to speed week to test the speed of his bike but he ends up surprising every single person there on his dusty looking bike and ends up breaking the land speed record. The film had many things that made it better and that includes camera angles, sound track and the actors that acted in it.

A scene can be shot from many camera angles but it does not change the emotion in people. The camera angles in the film were used as if you were there at the race. In my opinion the camera angles were good and made me engage in the film. A scene in the film when Burt was taking of on his motorcycle and the camera angle showed him and the track and nothing else. In my opinion, the director of the film used this mid shot camera angle to show how long the race is and how Burt goes side to side when he takes off. All the scenes when Burt was riding in his timed run were camera shots of him zooming past. Camera angles can be used in ways to show surroundings, emotions and actions.

The director of the movie uses sound to create intense scenes in the film. For example in the scene when Burt was putting on his helmet and preparing to race the sound track was slow and happy and as he got closer to the race it sped up. Sound track is usually sequinized to the actions in the scenes. The director of this film did sequinized the sound track to the actions in the film. an example of this is when Burt was preparing and racing in his race. In my opinion the sound track in films create’s a scene depending on what sort of sound is playing. It can also be used to show how characters are feeling.

Anthony Hopkins is a good actor in not just the film “The worlds fastest Indian”. When I watched the film I noticed that He was also acting in Thor as a king. In both films I believed that he played his part very good. In the movie Thor he was a king who wasn’t a joking and funny person. But His character as Burt Munro an old man who lives in a shed and is a funny man who most people he meets likes him because of his New Zealand humour. He suits his roll in most films even if he is a completely different character. In my opinion his New Zealand accent in parts of the film didn’t really sound like he was from New Zealand. His welch accent made me believe he wasn’t from New Zealand but He still played his character very well.

In conclusion this film was very good because of the actors, camera shots and sound track. These things made made the film more interesting to watch and makes me engage in it. Burt’s journey from Invercargill New Zealand to America speed week was interesting. Anthony Hopkins is a great actor in most films I have watched and he always played his roll well. I would recommend this film to everyone.
